Rose was born on Aug. 30, 1943, to Francisco and Clotilde Mata in Winslow. Rose was one of the strongest women we know. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Rose’s life, a role that gave her so much pride and joy. She was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Rose was supportive, kind, funny and witty. She was a strong woman of faith. Those of you who knew her, knew she never held anything back, she always said what was on her mind. She loved deeply. Our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. She will be forever loved and remembered. Rose was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Mata; her mother, Clotilde Mata; her brothers, Benito Pacheco, Jose Pacheco, Enrique Pacheco, Anthony Mata, Raul Mata and Francisco Mata Jr.; and her great grandson, Xavier Rey Stansberry.
