Holbrook finished ninth in the boys’ division of the Dave Conatser Invitational meet on Friday afternoon. Hopi’s team claimed the top spot with 31 points, followed by Ganado, Chinle, Coconino and Winslow in the top five.
The Roadrunners scored 218 team points, led by Tyler Begay who placed 12th overall with a time of 17:55.6. Anthony Moyte was 25th; Ethan Nez, 55th; Daman Nez, 62nd; Brayden Smith, 64th; Gerald Belin, 69th; and Anthony Hunzeker finished 74th.
The Lady Roadrunners finished sixth overall with 145 team points. Coconino took the top spot with 46, followed by Chinle with 78, Hopi with 91, Winslow with 112 and Alchesay with 127.
Holbrook’s top runner was freshman Krishauna Monongya who placed 12th overall with a time of 22:23.5. Ariel Begay was 27th; Hanna Nez, 30th; Tresa Poola, 41st; Kylie Dashee, 52nd; and Haylee Kabinto finished 73rd.
Holbrook is scheduled to join 12 other teams at the Bradshaw Mountain Invitational meet next Saturday.
