By Linda Kor With cold temperatures throughout the region, area residents are being asked to report any individuals they see lying or sitting outside who appear to be sleeping or unconscious. There have been deaths due to exposure to the elements and it takes only a short amount of time for individuals to succumb to the effects of the cold weather. If such a person is seen, please contact the law enforcement dispatch center at (928) 524-4050 so that an officer can follow up to see if assistance is needed and possibly prevent such deaths from occurring in the future.
