Norviel Manning Walton Jr. Norviel Manning Walton Jr. passed away on Feb. 22, 2021, in Winslow at age 80. He was born in Safford on Oct. 3, 1940, to Norviel M. Walton Sr. and Mary Rebecca Willis Walton. Graveside services are planned at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, at Desert View Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing. Norviel grew up in Winslow and graduated from Winslow High School, where he later taught auto mechanics for many years. Survivors include wife, Connie; sons, Manny (Carol) and Douglas (Carleen) of Winslow; grandchildren, Christopher Walton of Cottonwood, Mercedes Cordova of Tolleson, Jacob Walton of Phoenix, Reanna Walton and Gracelynn Walton of Winslow; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Rachelle Walton; and grandson, Hayden Walton. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
