Last week, Winslow residents gathered for the latest installment of the Good Morning Winslow monthly networking meeting, an event organized by the Winslow Chamber of Commerce. This month’s host was North Country Healthcare, and the attendees were in for some exciting updates.
Marcelo Vargas, Clinic Manager for North Country Healthcare Winslow, took the floor to share news about significant renovations underway at their Winslow location, including expanded parking and a more extensive building. These renovations will allow for increased exam rooms and services.
During the meeting, North Country Healthcare highlighted a comprehensive range of healthcare services for Winslow residents. These services encompass medical care, dental care, primary care, pediatrics, pharmacy services, physical therapy, telemedicine, and women’s health. They ensure accessibility by accepting various insurance plans and offering a sliding fee scale based on income and family size.
In attendance were many of the doctors and nurses that work at North Country and they all took a brief moment to introduce themselves and explain a little about what they do. There were also many workers there that helped connect patients to care and they explained how people could be better utilizing their services.
They briefly spoke about the free dental screening the clinic is offering to students at Jefferson Elementary School and Bonnie Brennan Elementary School later this month and mentioned it as just one of the many outreach programs the organization offers to residents.
In addition to Winslow, North Country Healthcare also has a location in Holbrook, and others throughout the state.
The Good Morning Winslow meeting provided a valuable platform for North Country Healthcare to showcase its commitment to the community’s well-being and the ongoing improvements at the Winslow location.
