Clifford Maxwell spoke in call to the public last week asking the Taylor Town Council to consider a name change for the newly formed fire/ambulance department. He suggested Silver Creek Fire and EMS.
“We’ve got to rebrand everything and would only have to do it once,” said Maxwell, noting that he was on his way to the fire station where they were working on designs for the placards.
“Great suggestion,” said Councilman Gary Solomon.
Town Manager Gus Lundberg noted that the name was spelled out in the intergovernmental agreement noting, “If that’s something we want to change, I don’t see any issue.”
Since the council cannot offer comments on items discussed during the call to the public, Lundberg said he would get in touch with Chief Clint Burden regarding the name.
