Now that we are into 2025, it is clear that Navajo County is experiencing development projects that bring all the challenges and benefits of growth. Over the past year, multiple developers have been working to start up new businesses and more of these projects continue to come online in 2025. The job opportunities continue to increase in our region, and recruitment for these positions is happening now. REAL AZ members dedicate time, effort and resources to grow our economy and are proud to support these new businesses in our region.

There are hundreds of new job opportunities in several sectors that are available now. Each of these businesses are seeking local employees, the positions are diverse, good-paying and these businesses are actively looking for motivated staff to join their teams. The businesses that are new to our region operate in the energy/construction sector, forestry/manufacturing sector, the tourism sector and soon to be, advanced manufacturing sector. Each of these economic sectors sees increased demand for their products and services, thus why we have seen the investment by these companies in our area.

Should you be someone or know someone who is searching for employment opportunities in these sectors and want to know more, we urge them to get linked up with Arizona@Work, operated by our Northeastern Arizona Local Workforce Development Representatives.

Connections can be made online, by phone or in-person. Physical offices are in Holbrook, Winslow, Pinetop-Lakeside, St. Johns, Payson and Globe. All of the information, contact phone numbers and locations can be found at www.arizonaatwork.com.

This is a no-cost service designed and fully funded to connect job seekers to local employers.

A critical partner of economic development is workforce development. The members of REAL AZ understand this partnership is what makes businesses successful. In January, The REAL AZ members had the opportunity to meet with the new Executive Director of our Northeastern Arizona Local Workforce Board, Adam Garrard. Adam is no stranger to workforce development in our region, as he has served in many senior roles, connecting employers to employees. Adam is experienced in making these crucial connections and utilizing funding to financially support the employers with job fairs, recruiting and staff training.

Additionally, the programs led by Adam and administered the Arizona@Work team also provide funding for job training programs, and direct support for job seekers.

We are pleased to share the new economic growth opportunities we are experiencing in 2025. We encourage you to reach out should you be interested in knowing more or getting involved. Thank you for sharing these new job opportunities, as we meet the challenges of our growing economy.
