Nellie K. Nez, 92, was born Nov. 28, 1925, in Birdsprings and entered into rest on Jan. 18, 2018, in Winslow. Services were held Jan. 22, at Maranatha Assembly of God with burial in Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. Nellie had a strong Christian belief. She enjoyed ranching, cattle, traveling, rodeos and loved working with kids. She is survived by her sons, Gary Nez and Felix Nez Jr.; daughters, Jackie Wade, Bernadine Nez and Laverne Nez; sisters, Susan Yazzie and Mary Ann Begay; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Nez Sr.; daughter, Josephine Nez; sons, Ronald Nez and Zane Nez; father, Dziłłibai Bitso; and mother, Nanabaa Totsohnii Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
