Modena Packer Jackson passed away peacefully Sunday, April 12, 2015, at her home with her daughter in Tucson. She will be buried in Woodruff, where she grew up and will rest beside many family members. She was born on June 7, 1921, and was raised in Arizona. She moved away with her husband and lived in Ely, Nev., and John Day, Ore., for a few years but her heart was always in Arizona. Survivors include her children, Deanna Rencher of Tucson, Kimberly Needham (Brian) of Burns, Ore., Kip Jackson (Denise) of Vancouver, Wash., and Steve Jackson of Eureka, Nev.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who all loved her dearly; a sister, Faye Jacobson of Cottonwood; and was a favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews who will miss her very much. Modena would have been 94 on June 7. She was and still is a beloved great and grand lady. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
