Mikalynda Yazzie, 27, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, in Dilkon. Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Indian Wells Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Indian Wells Cemetery. She was born Aug. 30, 1988, in Winslow. Mikalynda loved her children, taking care of them and her nieces and nephews. She always helped others before herself. Survivors include her son, Kristian James; her daughter, Aiden Eisha Yazzie; a sister, Terrilyn Thompson; two brothers, Terry Thompson and Marklin Yazzie; her parents, Michael Yazzie and Linda Thompson; and her grandmother, Bessie Yazzie. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Wilson Yazzie Sr., and her grandparents, Wilbur and Katherine Thompson. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
