Michael Allen Rubi Michael Allen Rubi, 58, was born on Feb. 7, 1963, and passed away on Feb. 16, 2021. He was born to Roberta A. Sanchez and Walter L. Rubi. Holy Rosary will be at 9:03 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Desert View Cemetery. He married Arlene Head in 2006 and they made their home in Winslow. He was employed by the Arizona Department of Corrections, as a corrections officer, with the last few years of his career as a parole officer. Michael is survived by his wife Arlene Rubi, son Cameron Head; granddaughter, Lindly Head; father, Walter L. Rubi; sister, Leonsa (Poncho) Moreno; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Michael was a man of many talents and interests. In his later years, he enjoyed listening to audio books, watching sports on TV and learning to play his Playstation. He would invite his friend Marty to come over and play hockey, football and car racing on his PS4. Michael aspired to be a comedian and would do his best to make as many people as he could to laugh. He touched many and will be missed dearly. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
