Melanie Smith Melanie Smith passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Flagstaff Medical Center in Flagstaff. Melanie was a very loved person who was outgoing, friendly and kind. She was a waitress for most of her life, and most remember Melanie as a very kind and caring person. She is survived by her husband, Freddie Garcia Jr.; her parents, Pete and Christine Sanchez and Ted and Dorinda Smith; her daughters, Brittany and Sarah Megan Edwards; sisters, Marni and Victoria Smith, Kerry and Salli O’Hair, and Sherri Ozment; her brothers, Shane and Kevin O’Hair; and 13 nieces, three nephews, three granddaughters and two grandsons. Melanie was loved by many and will be missed by those who knew her. “Goodbyes are not forever, and not the end. It simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again!” Horizon Funeral Care of Mesa handled the arrangements.
