Basketball 3 1

The Lobos seem to have found their basketball legs, after a lengthy football season. They picked up two regular season wins last week, including a pivotal east region game over Holbrook.

Tuesday night they were in Tuba City where they outlasted the Warriors 53-40.

Thursday night in a boys-only night at Lobo gym, Holbrook led Snowflake 26-24 at the half, setting up what fans thought would be a close second half.

The Lobos changed that narrative, outscoring Holbrook by 24 points in the second half. They hit multiple 3-point shots and held what is usually a sharp shooting Holbrook team to just two treys in a 62-40 Lobo win.

The Lobos were led by Jhett Udall and Gionn Jones each with 12 points. Landon Clare added 10. Snowflake made 10 of 15 charity tosses and connected on 5 shots from distance.

With the two wins the Lobos improved their overall season record to 5–5 heading into the Christmas break. They are 3-2 in regular season games.

They will play in the Epic Tourney New Classic held on Jan. 2 and 3. Following that tournament they open the New Year with a trip to Alchesay on Jan. 6, followed by a homecourt match up with Safford on Jan. 8. One day later they travel to Holbrook for a rematch with the Roadrunners.
