Leo R. Gonzales, age 75, of Winslow, passed away on Oct. 15th 2023. He was born in Mesa, on Jan. 6, 1948, to Leo and Cruzita Gonzales. Leo retired from BNSF Railway in February of 2008. After retirement, Leo set up a little shop in his backyard fixing lawn mowers, chainsaws or anything that was brought to him. Leo and his wife, Dorothy, were married for 55 years. He also enjoyed taking his dog Mikey on drives to the creek and to say hi to family and friends. He would always text or call every morning until he no longer could. Drawing everyone in cartoon form was his way of showing kindness. Don’t forget the Diet Cake. Leo is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Leo, Jr.; daughter, Terri; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Leo L. Gonzales; mother, Cruzita Gonzales; and sister, Helen Ayala.
