The Petrified Forest National Park will sponsor a visit from Doug Baum and the Texas Camel Corp. from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, at the Eagle Pavilion, located at 523 W. Second St. in Winslow. The event, co-sponsored by the Old Trails Museum, Winslow Chamber of Commerce and the City of Winslow will offer the public an interactive history on the use of camels along the Beale Wagon Road. Demonstrations featuring live camels will take place throughout the day, and the public is invited to attend the free event.
