The Lady Lobos headed into the holiday break still in search of their first regular season win after losses to Winslow and Tuba City last week.
Hosting the Bulldogs on Tuesday, Snowflake had a tough time containing Winslow’s duo of Jaci Gonnie and Shaelene Singer. The two Bulldog players combined for 41 points in a 57-37 Winslow win.
Snowflake kept the game close early trailing by just three after the first quarter and by six at the half. That deficit grew to double digits in the third period and Winslow extended their lead in the fourth.
Hosting Tuba City the following night Snowflake fell behind by double digits early in the third, then made a late game surge but fell short eventually falling 44-52 to the Lady Warriors.
Snowflake is currently 0-5 in regular-season contests and 5-8 overall. They will be off until Jan. 5 when they return from the holiday break with a road trip to Pima. They will see the Bulldogs again on Jan. 10 with a trip to Winslow.
