Kathi Ann Chisholm, 64 years of age, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at Abrazo Hospital in Goodyear. Kathi was born July 24, 1958, in Abilene, Kan., to the late Kenny and Genny Costigan. She was the oldest of four children. Kathi attended Chapman School System, where she graduated in 1977. After meeting Ron, they moved to Arizona in 1993. Kathi married the love of her life, Ron Chisholm Feb. 21, 1994. She worked as a certified nursing assistant and was very passionate about her work. She held several jobs as a nursing assistant, such as Campus of Care in Winslow, Winslow Memorial Hospital and the State Prison in Winslow for many years. After she retired from the prison, she started working at Jefferson Elementary School as a first-grade aide. She thoroughly enjoyed working with the students there and watching them excel. In 2022 she had to retire from the school district due to her medical issues. She loved crafting and scrapbooking in her spare time. She also took a significant interest in her grandkids and never missed watching one of their sports. Kathi helped with Awana and Vacation Bible School every year at First Baptist Church, and she really enjoyed being around children and helping them become closer to God. She was very loving and kind and always there to help others. Kathi had the biggest heart and always a smile on her face. She was a ray of sunshine to others. Family, friends, and loved ones will genuinely miss Kathi. Kathi is survived by her husband, Ron; daughters, Michelle and family, James, Gabrielle, Chance and Ryan; Jenny and family, Cassandra, Gunner and Jasmine; Amanda and family, Jimmy, Christopher, Nicholas and William; Kristina and family, Alexis and Tre; and Diedra and family Kelly, Jennifer, Blake and Tanner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Genny Costigan; and her sister, Mary. The celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at the First Baptist Church.
