Jose Arturo Munoz Graveside Services for Jose Arturo Munoz “Papa”, 92, will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. Jose passed peacefully on Oct. 18, 2021, in Flagstaff. He was born on Jan. 7, 1929, to Jose R. and Benita S. Munoz in Winslow. He graduated from Winslow High School and went on to Arizona State College majoring in liberal arts. He served his country in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge as a CPL E-4. He was married to his wife, Theresa for 53 years. He was employed and retired from Winslow Residential Hall as director for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. His hobbies included, photography, coin collecting, sports and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Maria Montiel of Winslow, Andrew Munoz of Phoenix, Christina Munoz of Chandler and Julianna Villarreal of Winslow; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa; father, Jose R. Munoz; and mother, Benita S. Munoz. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
