James Sharp James (Jim) Jay Broddick Sharp passed away on March 5, 2021. He was born June 18, 1935, to Cecil Leroy and Elsie Myrtle Sharp. He was raised in Albuquerque, N.M. His siblings include Cecil, Rose and Phyllis. He served in the Korean War and was a patriot. His experiences in the war left him with PTSD, which he lived with the rest of his life. Although he only received a 10th grade education, he was strong and intelligent and was a gifted mechanic. He worked many years in the oilfields of California and later as a TV technician. He also created a computer program to help production for Sun Maid Raisin Company. Jim was blessed with three children, Diana Lynn, Brian Jay and Tanya (deceased), and a stepson, Ricky Lee Keeton. He also was a proud grandpa with two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He had a sweet tooth and a tender heart. He spent most of his time outdoors, either watering his yard or tinkering with all things mechanical, which most definitely included his well and solar systems. He met and later married Diana Lynn Skinner in Fresno, Calif., then moved to Snowflake where they bought land. He loved Snowflake and was happy to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Feb. 19, 2000. He and his wife Diana were later sealed together in the Mesa Arizona Temple on Aug. 4, 2001. His family and friends are comforted in the knowledge that he loved the Savior and is at peace. Jim was looking forward to a joyfully reunion with his wife Diana who preceded him in death and his daughter Tanya whom he longed to see again. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake handled the arrangements.
