James H. Garner passed away Jan. 6, 2025. He was born on August 30, 1930, in Bozeman, Mon. Jim was married to the love of his life, Wilma “Wemo” Burgess. Wemo passed away Nov. 28, 1998. They had one daughter, Terri Wilma Garner Lawrence. Terri passed away Sept. 21, 2024.
Jim worked for Arizona Public Service for many, many years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Winslow J.C.’s Rodeo Organization and belonged to the local Elks Lodge. Jim was a member of the Winslow Kiwanis Club and also a member of the IBEW 387 Union.
He and Wilma helped build the newer Blue Ridge Campground. He loved to hunt and fish and looked forward to each and every hunt or camp outing. Jim was survived by his sister-in law, Doddi Garner; nephews, Fred Santesteban (Debbie) and Steve Garner (Alisha); nieces, Linda Blair Howell (Mike), Dalene Blair Miles (David), Jackie Ewan Dickerson and Rosie Ewan Ivie.
He will be peace Grumpy.
