On July 11, 2023, Navajo County deputies, assigned to the Heber/Overgaard squad, responded to a call for service regarding the theft of building material. Over the next 15 months, eight additional burglary and theft reports were made in the surrounding areas—thefts comprised of building materials, solar panels, piping, boats, and trailers. Deputies conducted an extensive investigation where they were able to locate and follow irrigation piping that matched the stolen property. The piping led them to a property where the other stolen property was in plain view.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, Navajo County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jeffrey David Rozycki, 54, of Heber for two counts each of theft of a means of transportation and theft, and four counts of burglary after a search warrant was served on the 1900 block of Vista Point in Heber resulting in the recovery of numerous stolen items.
“I am grateful for the hard work and persistence of my deputies. Numerous victims were able to get their property back and we have prevented this suspect from victimizing more people,” stated Sheriff David Clouse.
