The Holbrook Unified School District (HUSD) No. 3 Governing Board met last Tuesday, as the first meeting of the new school year, with Holbrook High School Principal Clete Hargrave providing a presentation on the high school’s four-year math requirement and the classes offered.
Hargrave explained that the state statute requires students to have two credits covering Algebra 1 and geometry, and one credit pertaining to Algebra 2 or an equivalent. The fourth credit can be a course with “significant math credit and can be determined by the local governing board,” he stated.
