At 10:20 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, a two-vehicle, non-injury collision occurred at the intersection of State Route 77 and State Route 377. The vehicles involved were a white 2019 Subaru Outback, driven by Mitchell Lincoln of Omaha, Neb., with one passenger and a red Chevy Trax driven by Hailey Peterson, of St. Maries, Idaho. According to the report, Lincoln was traveling north on State Route 77 with Peterson traveling the same direction in front of him. Peterson attempted to turn west on State Route 377 before realizing the road was closed due to construction. She made a U-turn and Lincoln and the vehicles collided. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and Peterson was cited for no insurance and making an unsafe turn.
