One collision was investigated by Holbrook police officers during the period of March 5-18, according to dispatcher reports.
At 7:03 a.m. on Friday, March 14, a two-vehicle, non-injury collision occurred in the 2000 block of Navajo Blvd. The vehicles involved were a red semi-truck and trailer driven by Akylbek Tashtemirov, 42, of Dallas, Texas, and a gray Kia driven by Jessie Yazzie, 37, of Sanders. According to the report, Tashtemirov was driving south on Navajo Blvd., when Yazzie cut across two lanes in front of Tashtemirov and was struck by the semi. Yazzie was cited for unlawful approach to a left-hand turn lane and no driver’s license.
