Obit Foehner Georgia

Georgia Ann Foehner, 60, passed away on Aug. 16. 2018. A celebration of life honoring Georgia will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at the First Baptist Church in Winslow, located at 411 N. Warren Ave. Georgia was born to George and Joanna Foehner on July 11, 1958, in Winslow. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1976. After graduation, Georgia remained in Winslow (except for a short move to California), working at various positions. Over the years she worked at Pizza Pub, State Farm Insurance, Winslow Memorial Hospital, Community Counseling Center and, most recently, Winslow Junior High. She loved playing games, bowling and building Legos and listening to her scanner. She was a big Diamondbacks fan and enjoyed watching the games on TV. She was interested in genealogy and spent time researching the internet for decedent information. Spending time with her family and friends brought her much joy. Georgia is survived by her sisters, Linda Woern and Sylvia (Mike) Hartnett; sister-in-law, Pam Pruitt; nieces and nephews, Derek (Sandra) Knight, Joseph (Amy) Hartnett, Jason (Celeste) Hartnett, Tara (Andrew) Carson, Krystal (Cassie) Foehner and Eric Foehner; seven great-nephews and one great-niece. She is also survived by various other family members. The care of her beloved Dachshund, Poppy, has been entrusted to her wonderful friend, Charley Morehead. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Joanna Foehner; and her brother, Bruce. Norvell Owens Mortuary of Flagstaff handled the arrangements.
