James (Fred) Stewart passed away July 2, 2025. He was born Sept. 18, 1939, in Chandler, to Melvin and Joan Stewart.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila and children: Valerie (Grant) Robertson, Collins (Cameron) Stewart, Keith (Angela) Stewart, Jerry (Bea) Stewart, Natalie (Justin) Tingey, Jennifer (Mark) Murdock, Melvin (Nicole) Stewart, Amy Dalton and Jessica (Sean) Talley; 45 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Thompson, and brothers, John Stewart (Laree) and Walter Stewart (Karen).
His civic contributions included serving on the Snowflake City Council and as mayor, always striving to make his community a better place.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, July 14, at the Main Street Stake Center, located at 48 N. Main St., in Snowflake. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church on Sunday, July 13, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, July 14.
