Felton Hayes Felton Hayes passed away Nov. 20, 2021. He was born in Bethel, Okla., to the late Dovie and Emmett Hayes on Dec. 16, 1932. He was married to Katherine Lela Hayes on June 21, 1956, in Red River County, Texas. He worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation for 30 plus years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army and a P.O.W and was awarded the Purple Heart. Felton Wayne Hayes is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Lela Hayes; son, Roy Hayes; grandson, Felton Hayes II; granddaughter, Kayla Fischer; and great-grandson, Jerry Hayes Jr. Felton is survived by his children, Sandra Reyes, Sharon McCown, Donna Cochran, Gary Hayes, 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
