Eloy Zamora Jr., 73, born Dec. 5, 1944, in Oakland, Calif., entered into rest on June 17, 2018, in Winslow. Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 22, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Winslow. Eloy enjoyed Bingo, Dallas Cowboys, sports, playing with his grandkids and he loved to dance. He served in the Army 82nd Airborne during Operation Power Pack. He is survived by his wife, Tomie Zamora; sons, Christopher (Jamie) Zamora of Grants, N.M., and Carlos (Sheila) Zamora of Winslow; daughter, Jennie Zamora of Las Vegas, N.V.; sister, Juanita Griego of Albuquerque, N.M.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Eloy and Jessie Zamora; brother, Louie Zamora and sister, Lillian Roybal. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangement.
