On Nov. 4, a group of Holbrook Elks Lodge members went to Calvary Chapel to present $1,000 (a grant provided by Arizona Elks Major Projects) to the Oasis Youth Ministry group who were in the process of packing Christmas boxes to be sent to needy children around the world. This is one of many service projects the group members help with throughout the community year-round. Oasis Youth Ministries equips young people in a way that helps them discover their God-given purpose and then prepares them to live out that purpose for their lives. The group is overseen by seven of the Protestant churches in Holbrook. Their ministerial leadership is under the direction of Jerad Burgess.
