Students at Park Elementary School and Hulet Elementary School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Week by having a dress-up week, learning about different Hispanic cultures, and having a door decorating contest. Dress-up days included dressing as a favorite Hispanic movie character, a favorite Hispanic celebrity athlete or artist, wearing the colors of the Mexican flag, Vaquero (cowboy) Day, and traditional Hispanic clothing day. The event was a fun way for students to learn about Hispanic cultures.
