David Peters David Peters suddenly passed away on Jan. 7, in Chandler. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at Mountain View Lutheran Church, located at 11022 S. 48th St., in Phoenix. Dave was born in Madison, Wis., to Wayne and Nancy Peters. His family moved to Winslow in the early 70’s, where he excelled in Bulldog football, track and field along with being active in the Key Club. Dave went to Northern Arizona University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Dave and his bride met in Albuquerque, N.M., in the mid 90’s and moved to Phoenix. Together they raised two wonderful children, Matthew and Janice. Dave was a humble, loving and caring soul. He always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He was the first to volunteer his help, no matter the task. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was spending time hunting and fishing at Lake Roosevelt with his dad, brothers and other family members or his high school friends. He equally loved the ocean and was content to sit and look over the vast ocean and simply ponder. However, his greatest passion was his family. He was a dedicated husband, father and ecstatic “Opa” to his precious granddaughter. His gentle presence will be greatly missed as he was loved by many. Dave worked in the welding and industrial gas industry for over 25 years, where he held various operations, management or outside sales positions, with his latest position as an outside sales representative for Allied Gases. He was passionate about his career, which led to being recognized in industry publications for his contribution towards the advancement of specialty gases within the aerospace sector. Dave is survived by his wife, Kym; children, Matthew and Janice; granddaughter, Emily; mother, Nancy; brothers, Dennis (Stephanie) and Kevin (Connie); sister, Pam (Greg); and many nieces and nephews.
