Darla Jean (Penrod) Buckels, second child of Charles Albert and Emogene Penrod, born Aug. 19, 1958, went to the Lord on June 18, 2018. She was at the Penrod reunion surrounded by family and had all her kids and grandkids in attendance. Darla was loved by many and will be missed. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, at Mike and Lavetta Penrod’s residence. She is survived by her three children, Stevie (Audra) Baker, Shelly Despain and Chuck (Sara) Despain; brother Charles Michael Penrod; and 10 grandchildren she held dear to her heart. Family was everything to her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest daughter Erica Jean Baker-Vargas.
