Damian Cruz Tafoya Damian Cruz Tafoya, 27, passed on Nov. 10, 2021, in Flagstaff. He was born on July 10, 1994, in Flagstaff and always lived in Arizona. Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, with inurnment to follow in Desert View Cemetery. He loved camping, fishing and hunting; pretty much anything that had to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed his cruises in Winslow and watching the sunset. He had such a big heart and loved his family. If you wanted to talk to Damian about anything serious, he always cracked a joke to lighten the mood. Damien is survived by his significant other, Brittany Chow; parents, Sharon (Jorge) Tafoya and Joe (Jonnie) Tafoya; sister, Jessika (Evan) Tafoya; brothers, James Tafoya and Seth Matrecito; and grandparents, John (Debbie) Lopez, Janet (Doug) Hebert, Faye (Bevan) Henrie and Lydia Flores. He is preceded by his grandfather, Agapito “Pete” Tafoya; grandmother, Ramona Jenny Tafoya; aunts, April Flores and Sylvia Barnell; uncle, Anthony Barnell; Nina, Mary “Coco” Acosta; and cousin, Lino Flores. Greer’s Mortuary handled the arrangements.
