The Winslow wrestling team finished seventh in a field of 16 teams competing in the Camp Verde Invitational Meet over the weekend. There were a number of Winslow wrestlers who performed well, according to Coach Lawrence Watson.

Paul Jaramillo was first in the 126-pound division. He won a triple overtime match in the semis, then an overtime match in the finals to win the tournament.

Jake Huddleston placed third in his division. He was undefeated in the pools and did not lose until the semifinals. He pinned every other match.

Colton Corum was sixth in his division.

Daniel Lopez was seventh in the 120-pound division.

Chad Colvin had his first tournament placing as seventh in his division.

James Martinez wrestled a great weekend, but was unable to make the tournament because of the high level of competition in his weight class in his pool.
