Brenda worked for the Department of Economic Security for a number of years, then worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections-Winslow for 25 years. During this time she had her first son in May of 1986, Richard, then in August of 1988 she had her second son Adrian. She was very proud of those two boys. In September of 2009, Brenda’s first grandchild, Catalina, was born, her second grandchild, Killian, was born in December of 2015. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She spent numerous hours traveling back and forth to be with her kids and grandchildren. On many weekends Brenda had Catalina with her everywhere she went. Brenda looked forward to retiring and spending much more time with her two boys and her grandchildren. You could find Brenda at Walmart, where she worked part time until she began working at Wells Fargo Bank. While Brenda worked at the prison she took classes for business and banking, where she got her associates degree. Brenda loved her family and will be greatly missed by them. She is survived by her significant other, Jose Martinez; sons, Richard Renik and Adrian Martinez; her two brothers, Ray Renik and Tim (Molly) Renik; two sisters, Rose (Derek) Terry and Theresa (Tony) Axtell; her mother, Celeste Renik; and two grandchildren.
