Betty Gene McCarty passed from this life on Jan. 22, 2019, at her home with her family comforting her.

Betty was born June 7, 1939, in the hills of Floyd County Kentucky to Bill and Pearl Dillow. She spent her younger years being raised by her grandma and grandpa.

She knew Jack most of her life and they were married Feb. 9, 1957. They would have been married 62 loving years this year.

She had two children and spent the majority of her time with them. She spent many years working with the local 4-H club. She worked for Circle K and owned a feed store. She also worked at the Air Force base commissary in Holbrook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pearl Dillow; and her sister, Berniece Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter Sabrina; and son Larry (Leslie). She had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
