At 4:31 a.m. on Sunday Feb. 7, officers from the Winslow Police Department and the Winslow Fire Department responded to the scene of a reported vehicle fire in the area of Papago Blvd., where they found a WPD patrol vehicle in flames. After the firemen extinguished the fire, police officers conducted their investigation and concluded the patrol car was set ablaze due to arson. The investigation is continuing. This is the second arson-related fire to occur in Winslow in the past month. On Jan. 11, the Winslow Justice Court sustained damage from a fire that was started in the floor joists of the probation building, damaging the floor and a portion of the building.
