Alexander Lloyd Reams Alexander Lloyd Reams, age 40, passed away Oct. 10, 2021, in Council Bluffs, Ind. He was born Oct. 10, 1981, in Flagstaff. He was born of the Deer Spring Clan, born for the Tohono O’odham People. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, at Winslow Funeral Home in Winslow, with Interment services to follow at Desert View Cemetery. Alex grew up in Flagstaff, where he attended Killip Elementary School, Mount Elden Middle School and Coconino High School. He earned his high school diploma through the Excel Education Center. Right after high school he became an independent soul. He loved to travel. He took advantage of every job opportunity out of state including Munds Park, Deadwood, S.D, Los Lunas, N.M., Grand Island, Neb., Aberdeen, S.D. and eventually Council Bluffs, Iowa. He enjoyed meeting new people and creating lifelong friendships. Alex had many to love in life including his son and sister, and was very skilled in many activities not limited to his culinary career and was well known for his artistic ability, whether it be tattooing, drawing or painting. A skill he definitely picked up on from his mother, Michelle. He is survived by his son, Mateo Issac Reams; sister, Erin (Jessie) Billy; father, Selwyn Reams; aunt, Denise Fredericks; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Rosh Fredericks; niece, Michelle Billy; cousins, Chris Sheka, Dustin Fredericks, Devin Fredericks, Mikos Dixson and Darshaun Sheka; and loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle J. Reams; uncle, Lance P. Fredericks; and Grandmother Sylvia J. Fredericks. Alexander will be laid to rest with his mother Michelle at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
