Applicants are being sought to fill a vacancy on the Heber/Overgaard School District Governing Board created by the death of longtime board member Naoma Owens on Dec. 26, 2012. Interested candidates, who must be registered voters of the state and who have been residents of the district for at least a year, may request an application from the Navajo County School Superintendent’s Office at P.O. Box 668, Holbrook, Ariz. 86025, or by calling (928) 524-4204. Applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, with interviews scheduled the following week. County School Superintendent Linda Morrow plans to make the appointment shortly after the interviews are conducted.
