The Roadrunners of Holbrook High School finished with an overall mark of 14-12 after last Tuesday’s 9-8 loss to Snowflake in the regular season finale.
They were slated to play against No. 19 Northwest Christian in the opening round of the Division III State Baseball Tournament at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. If the 14th seeded Roadrunners advanced, they will face No. 3 Chino Valley at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Surprise baseball complex. An upset win in that contest would move them into the quarterfinal round on Saturday. A loss in any state tournament game would bring their season to a close.
