The Navajo County Fair Board held a brief meeting Dec. 8 to elect Holbrook resident and Bank of the West Vice President/Branch Manager Valerie Slade to fill a board seat left vacant by the resignation of Albert Peshlakai. Slade will serve in that position for one year, at which time the seat will be up for election.
