The Winslow High School wrestling team performed well at the Pat Kenny Invitational in Holbrook last weekend. They did not score teams because of the weather, but the team would have clearly been in the top two and may possibly have won based on records and performances.
James Martinez and Paul Jaramillo were both 5-0. Jace Hardy and Daniel Lopez were 5-1. Colton Corum was 4-1. Adrian Montoya, Chad Colvin, Chris Garrett and Jake Huddleston were 3-2. Fernando Pipkins, Brandon Sedillo and Dustin Key also got their first varsity wins last weekend.
The Bulldogs were slated to participate in a multi-team match at Holbrook on Wednesday and in the Camp Verde Invitational Meet today and Saturday (Dec. 9 and 10). Their next home match will be on Wednesday, Dec. 14, when they host teams from Chinle, Window Rock and Ganado. The only remaining action before the holiday break will be a dual meet with Coconino High School on Saturday, Dec. 17, in Flagstaff.
