Snowflake’s volleyball team dropped just four regular season matches, yet still entered the Division III state playoff bracket as the 11th seed, where the Lady Lobos met up with sixth seeded Tuba City.
The Lady Warriors have one of the better individual players in the area and ended Snowflake’s season in three straight games, winning the match 25-23, 25-23 and 25-21. Snowflake played well, but just couldn’t finish off any of the three games.
Overall, the Lady Lobos wrapped up their season with a mark of 13-5.
The Lady Warriors eventually advanced to the semifinal round, where they fell to Catalina, which lost to Seton Catholic in the championship match.
In Divisions III, IV and V, private schools won the new divisional state titles with Seton Catholic, Northwest Christian and Veritas Prep taking home the top honors.
