Elmer Long of Winslow was the $200 winner in the final drawing of The Tribune-News Football Contest. Five finalists were selected for the drawing based on the number of games for which they accurately predicted the final score. The other finalists were Joe Richards, Roger Moyta, Dick Heward and Gene Mitchell. The contest was sponsored by Pat’s House of Orginals, Thanx a Latte, Jalapeno Poppers and Burger King, all of Holbrook, and Winslow Dental, Cake Car Co., The Corner Feed & Tack, Payless Car Sales and Furniture Bowl, all of Winslow.
