The Snowflake volleyball squad is headed to the post-season, having finished 11th in the power point standings of Division III. The Lady Lobos finished the regular season with a record of 13-4, but dropped three of their final five matches. They finished off the regular season with a solid 3-0 win over Blue Ridge last Thursday. The Lady Yellowjackets are headed to the state playoffs as the fifth overall seed.
With the re-alignment and divisional changes, the Lady Lobos find themselves with a difficult first round match-up. As the 11th seed they will square off with a talented Tuba City team that comes in ranked sixth, but is considered to be one of the top teams in this area. The Lady Warriors finished the season with a 14-3 mark, but all three of those losses have been to powerful teams. They lost twice to Flagstaff, and once to defending 3A champion Monument Valley.
If the Lady Lobos can get past Tuba City in their first round match-up scheduled at 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 4, at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, they would see either third seeded Cactus or 14th ranked Camp Verde in the second round at 8 o’clock Friday evening. A win there would put them into the semifinal round on Saturday morning.
