Winslow High School softball Coach Becky Barris will be guiding her team into the semifinal round of the Arizona State 3A Conference Softball Tournament in Phoenix today (May 13) to defend the school’s 2010 state championship.
She recently noted that three players from the 2010 State Championship Team are playing with South Mountain Community College, which will be playing for a national championship in Illinois this weekend. South Mountain won the regional championship and a berth in the national tournament by defeating Mesa and Phoenix Colleges twice last week.
Playing for South Mountain Community College are freshman and former Winslow Lady Bulldogs Kyle Parsons, Bernice Gover and Jennifer Yazzie.
