Sara Hansen is in her first year as the head softball coach at Joseph City High School, and she has a mixture of veterans and youth on her team at this point. The Lady Wildcats will open their season today (March 16) with a trip to Eagar to meet Round Valley, then will see more action in the Payson tournament this weekend.
Seniors on the team include Ivorie Cochran, Brianna Massey, Lindsey Larson, Chevaun Spurlock, Megan Johnstun and Mackenzie Fields. Harley Blosser is the only junior, and she is joined by sophomores Taylor Hill, Jacie Cochran, Sierra Johnstun, Savannah Baer, Payton Vandyke and Johanna Black.
The Lady Wildcats will be off for spring break after the Payson tournament, and will resume playing games on Tuesday, March 29, when they host Ash Fork in doubleheader action.
