The Winslow Lady Bulldogs defeated the Greyhills Lady Knights 23-0 in a softball game played at Tuba City on Monday. The win was Winslow’s second in as many games and was shortened to five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Halley Hayes got the win, working the first three innings and not allowing a hit or a walk. She fanned seven batters. Taylor Baca worked the final two innings and hit a batter, but allowed no hits or runs. She struck out eight batters.

Winslow scored 11 runs in the first inning and added to its commanding lead in each of the following four frames.

Megan Lymer was three for three at the plate. Gabby Stacey, Mireya Ulibarri, Melissa Jacobs and Becca Perez were each three for four. Mallory Smith and Arianna Huerta were each two for three. Kelly Pugh was two for two. Baca, Jaleisa Hayes, Jaime Bollin and Dallas Zamora were each one for one, and Baca had the only home run of the game. Renee Bollin was one for two.
