The Roadrunners weren’t the only ones to bring a state championship home to Holbrook from Glendale on Saturday night. Lady Roadrunner Aaren Billie (No. 11), representing the 3A North in the state championship three point shoot-out, beat players from the East, West and South regions to win the title. Shooting at halftime of the boys’ title game in front of thousands of supportive fans, Billie made eight of 15 shots to win the crown. Her win is not only the second in a row for the Lady Roadrunners, but is also the second in a row for her family. Last season her sister, Sheria Billie, won the event for Holbrook. Aaren, who is just a junior, could have a chance for a three-peat next season.
