In the title match, after the Lobos fell behind by one, Grace Prestwich tied the game early in the second half. Both teams battled scoreless the rest of regulation and through both overtime sessions, sending the match to penalty kicks to decide the winner.
Snowflake sophomore Joee Nichols scored the deciding penalty kick to secure the title in a 4-3 win.
Snowflake's boys team also advanced to the postseason as the overall No. 4 seed. Hosting fifth-seeded Willcox on Tuesday afternoon, the Lobos blanked the Cowboys 7-0 to move into the semifinal round.
They met up with top-seeded St. Johns on Friday evening on the Redskins home field and played tough, forcing a 4-4 tie. Unfortunately, the Lobos lost in the penalty-kick phase, 4-2, ending their season.
The Lady Lobos completed their season with an overall record of 18-4-1 and a championship trophy.
